F.I.T. Institute
The F.I.T. Institute is a certified educational organization offering courses that address the framework, theory and practical skills that clinicians need to be able to apply the FIT approach. Dr. Mark Scappaticci, the originator of the FIT approach, has developed a number of specialized courses for professionals. These courses are the culmination of years of experience, education and training and are offered exclusively through the F.I.T Institute. Clinical courses may focus on assessment, treatment approaches or both and courses are open to currently practicing clinicians (Physiotherapists, Chiropractic Doctors, Registered Massage Therapists) or maybe targeted to particular audiences. Courses focusing on healthy lifestyle and wellbeing are targeted to the general public. Course descriptions are provided below and links to more detailed curricula and registration details are also provided.

2. The Fascial Abrasion Technique
Dr. Scappaticci has developed a patented fascial abrasion tool F.A.T Tool and has developed several courses for specific audiences to learn how to use this tool. Clinicians find fascial abrasion to be an important assessment and treatment approach for patients who are experiencing pain and loss of motion or function due to surgery, injury, tendonitis and other chronic disorders. The application of fascial abrasion techniques enables clinicians to locate and to break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions, thereby relieving discomfort and helping to restore normal function.
The FIT Institute Fascial Abrasion Technique course targets currently practicing health care providers and clinicians involved in the diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue injuries including chiropractors, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and naturopaths. Participants learn how to use the fascial abrasion technique and tool to assess and treat common soft tissue clinical conditions. The 1.5 day course includes a mixture of classroom presentations and practical lab sessions addressing the key principles and concepts associated with diagnosing soft tissue injuries and using the fascial abrasion techniques and tool.
